This story always was amazing to me as a child or when I taught Sunday.

It makes wonder how many of us are desperate to meet with Jesus. It makes me realize what friend or family member will push me to have that opportunity to see Jesus. 

This man had an encounter that day that he would never forget.

Jesus I Am...

In the book of John, Jesus declares seven times that He is...

True vine- John 15:1-5

Bread of life- John 6:35-48

Way, Truth and Life-John 14:6

Jesus is our true vine. As we are connected to Him, we can continue to grow in Him. The more we grow from his roots the closer we can grow to Him.

Jesus is also represented as the Bread of Life as we are to pray for the daily bread- Word of God in our lives daily.

Jesus is the Light of the world as He shines brightly through the darkness.

Jesus is known as a Gate because He is our mediator-our door to God our Heavenly Father.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life as He conquered sin and death dying on the cross but raising to life for all of humanity.

Jesus is the way- the Way to the Father, the way to everlasting life. He is the truth cause their is no lie in Him. He gives life to to those broken places.

Jesus and the Samaritan Woman

What I love about the story is how two cultures collide that normally have nothing to do with each other but how Jesus meets this woman with an ordinary task of drawing water in her jugs to make an extraordinary experience.

Jesus did not just offer her ordinary water. He offered her living water to live forevermore. That is exciting news!

She wasn't sure who she had encountered but she later learned she encountered the Living Savior.

Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31 is a popular verse teaching us to wait on the Lord. As we wait on the Lord he promises us that our strength will be renewed. Our strength will be rejuvenated. We will soar like an eagle by mounting up by climbing up in success of God's greatness upon us. We will stride and not faint and run and not grow weary.

Fruit of the Spirit

In Galatians 5:22-23, it is laid how we should walk. We need to develop these characteristics in our life each and everyday. Now it's not always easy to love that annoying coworker or be at peace in the midst of the storm or have selfcontrol and not popping off at that the mouth to those closest to you.

Evil Spirits

Jesus has given us the authority to cast out evil Spirits everyday. They do not to be in any part of our life or in fact in the life of a Believer it all. It is at the vet name of Jesus that demons has to flee.

Encouragement

I think so many times encouragement is hard to come by. We live in a world that should be non judgemental but people find a way to be judgemental. We are supposed to lifting each other up and not putting people down.

Ark of the Covenant

We know that the Ark of the Covenant represented God and contained sacred items inside it. It was holy within itself.

Healings in John

Jesus is still in the healing business today. There are seven accounts of different healings that John recorded in his book. 

From Jesus turning water into wine and offering living water and healing the sick and diseases, we can time and time again that he is faithful!

2 Chronicles 7:14

I was about to graduate highschool and went to Hobby Lobby with my grandmother and there was the most beautiful patriotic frame and I fell in love with it. Later to find out my grandmother had purchased it for me and gave it to me for my highschool graduation. It was patriotic with 2 Chronicles 7:14 on it. 

I then learned to memorize that verse. God wants His people to humble ourselves and seek Him and Him alone so he can hear our voices and forgive us and heal our land.

10 Famous Mothers

There were 10 women in the Bible that stands out for being courageous. We all know as mothers it is not always easy being a mother, but to remember God is here to help each of in our motherhood.

Sarah had to wait for a promise was made unto her even though she was past the age to bare a child.

Hagar endured through discontentment with Sarah and ran away to her homeland but through the angel Ishmael came.

Rebekah had to believed and obeyed God waiting for Isaac and she believed when she was pregnant she had two nations wrestling within her womb.

Leah and Rachel had to share their husband. 

Jochebed had a plan to hide her baby from the decree that all male babies would be killed. She made a papyrus basket and put the baby in it and pushed the basket down the Nile River.

Samson's mother followed the rules to not drink or fermented drink or eat anything unclean and not using a razor to the son given to her as he is to be a Nazarite dedicated to God.

Naomi shared her faith and instruct Ruth in her dealings to be a godly woman.

Hannah kept her promise as she dedicated her son into the Lord.

Elizabeth believed in miracles as she waited for to have a child as she was barren.

Mary was blessed among all women as she is the mother of our Savior.

1 Corinthians 13

Loving is not always easy. 1 Corinthians 13 we are called to love and as we are loving we are called to be kind, patient, not boast,  and not have jealousy.

We have to love the way God wants us to love. We must not give up and bear through the hard times or the grief one may bring.

Dwelling in the presence of God

New International Version
Then the man brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple of the LORD, and I fell facedown.

The glory of God was found as this man came to the temple at the north gate. So many people today think they have to go to church or go to a special meeting just to feel the presence of God. You can feel the presence of God wherever you invite Gods presence to dwell.
The glory of the Lord was so mighty that it caused the man to fall face down. He was soaking in the presence of God. There is mercy, grace, forgiveness, and deliverance where the glory of God dwells.
Spend some time in the presence of the Lord and fall face down and embrace His presence!

Fear of the Lord

To have the fear of the Lord which is reverence of the Lord is to begin to know the Lord. When you have reverence for something or someone you get to know that person or thing on an intimate level. A fooliah person will not care to know God intimately. A foolish person will not receive instruction to guide them through their life. Wisdom is acknowledging who God is, fear him, follow His ways and not your own. Our instructions may seem right, but it is important to know God, love and respect God and not be foolish and not listen and honor God. You may see the word and it meaning to be afraid or frightful, but this context is showing the reader to have fear of just beginning to know God and seeking His ways out. Knowledge of God will get you farther along in life, but destruction will come to the one that does not have to be afraid for his or her life, but have a deep knowledge of who God is and worship Him and him alone. He gave His life for you, so do not be foolish and acknowledge God with great reverence.

As I was listening to a sermon yesterday a revelation came to me:
Abel brought a sacrificial offering (sacrificial lamb) to possibly cover for the sins of his parents- where sin first began
But it took the lamb that God provided to be slain to cobet the sins of all humanity.

Revelation 5:12
Worthy is the lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength, and honor and glory and praise.

Can you see clearly now?

Blind Bartimaeus was shouting and pressing through the crowd even though the crowd was telling him to be quiet. Bartimaeus would shout louder. He got up threw his cloak down and went to Jesus. He told Jesus he wanted to see Jesus and Jesus told him" Go your faith has healed you!
Mark 10:46-52

It is the step of faith that Bartimaeus took to see again.
He was able to see clearly.
In our own lives we have areas that we need to see clearly on. We need to step out and act or on faith tho receive our healing and clarity of mind.

Do you need help?

In John 5 it tells about a man near the pool of Bethesda that laid there for 38 years. All he had to is get in the pool when the pool was stirring. He needed Jesus to help him get in. Jesus told him to pick up his mat and walk and he was healed.
Sometimes we hold on to things as excuses but need to just pick it up and move forward.
It takes Gods grace to pick the mat up in our lives and move forward.
There is always times we need help to go forward in our life but must be willing to go forward and not give excuses. People can't help you if you can't help yourself.
There is a joke I have with my mom that I will ask for help and she says I always need help.

Whatever your title is whether a mother, father, daughter, son, teacher, bus driver, manager do it into the Lord. God has given you that task for such a time as this and you may be tired or frustrated but do your individual title with all that you have as you are doing it into the Lord.
