Bible Hereos

Do you have a certain Bible character that stands out to you the most? There are so many great men and women of God that did great things for God in their time.
Here are a few:

Susanna- Luke 8:2-3. She was healed by Jesus both physically and spiritually. She served as a servant for the Lord.

Tabitha- Acts 9:36 [Full Chapter]
In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.

Anna-
Luke 2:36-38 [Full Chapter]
There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Ruth-The book tells of Ruth's accepting the God of the Israelites as her God and the Israelite people as her own. In Ruth 1:16-17, Ruth tells Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law, "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.

I find these woman as unsung hereos as they all did great things for God. Sometimes it is hard to do things for God, but we must be obedient unto the Lord. AS we are obedient He will carry us through.
